Operating out of St. Pius X Church, a group of west-end residents began distributing food to those needing it during the summer of 2020. At that time, near the beginning of the Covid pandemic, 10 families were recipients. The pandemic waned eventually, but unfortunately food insecurity did not. It worsened. The Bloor West Food Bank now offers nourishing food to more than 700 people every week. Dedicated volunteers and generous donations help support this essential act of charity within our community.
